Crude steel production for the 66 countries reporting to the World Steel Association rose 2,4% in October to 118-million tons when compared with the same month in 2009. However, Chinese output fell by 3,8% year-on-year to 50,3-million tons.
Mining major Anglo American (Anglo) would sell its Moly-Cop and AltaSteel to Australian company OneSteel for $932-million.
