NJR Steel Meyerton Supports Local Heroes
NJR Steel Meyerton Community Support Initiative
In a heart-warming display of community support, NJR Steel Meyerton has announced a new partnership with a local non-profit organization, Angel from Henley, led by the compassionate Alinah Ntswaki.
This May, NJR Steel Meyerton will be dedicating resources to assist in Alinah’s amazing efforts to feed the homeless and underprivileged families in Meyerton.
The Angel from Henley: A Beacon of Hope
Alinah Ntswaki, often referred to as the Angel from Henley, began her mission six years ago at the Henley Dumping site.
Her journey in creating what is now called “Sweet Smell from Heaven” started with a simple yet profound desire to alleviate hunger among the most vulnerable.
Over the years, her operation has grown significantly. What started with feeding 40 people at the dumping site has now expanded to feeding 130 people in Meyerton, and 300 children in Sithelo.
Alinah works tirelessly, often single-handedly, with the occasional help of volunteers to prepare and distribute meals. Despite the scale of her operation, she remains committed to her mission, driven by a deep passion to help those in need.
The meals, consisting of nutritious staples like spinach, potatoes, polony for soup, and bread, are largely dependent on donations, highlighting the community’s role in sustaining this vital service.
NJR Steel Meyerton’s Commitment
Choosing to support Angel from Henley was an easy decision for NJR Steel Meyerton. The region faces high unemployment rates, making initiatives like Alinah’s critical for meeting the basic needs of many locals.
Throughout May, NJR Steel Meyerton will provide food supplies to assist in preparing these essential meals, making a tangible difference in the lives of many.
NJR Steel Meyerton invites the local community and other businesses to join in supporting Angel from Henley, either through donations or volunteer work, to help extend the reach of this noble cause. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of many, proving that compassion and action can transform communities.
Please contact our Meyerton Branch Manager Ronel du Plessis if you would like to get involved in this worthy cause.
