NJR Steel Fortifies Gauteng's Road Networks in Key Infrastructure Project
Revamping Gauteng's Roads: A Transformative Construction Partnership
In a monumental step for Gauteng's transport infrastructure, Slim B&D Construction, backed by Ricasha Build, has been awarded a significant tender for the enhancement of the PWV5 (Winnie Mandela Road/R511) and N14 roads in Diepsloot. This project, which includes the construction of three major bridges, marks a critical enhancement of the region's road network.
NJR Steel is thrilled to announce its role as the primary supplier of reinforcing cut and bend steel for the bridges, delivering a substantial 275 tons of high-quality steel from our Brakpan Processing branch.
Our commitment to excellence is demonstrated through our precise rebar processing and reliable delivery, ensuring the structural integrity and longevity of these vital constructions.
The project extends beyond road reconstruction, introducing a water bridge to effectively manage water flow beneath the main roads.
This innovative engineering is set to complete by September 2024, symbolizing another significant milestone in this project.
The road upgrade promises not only to improve connectivity between Pretoria and Sandton via Diepsloot but also to stimulate economic growth and job creation, especially within Steyn City.
The involvement of Steyn City Properties and the focus on using Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) contractors highlight the project's role as a catalyst for regional development and empowerment.
As this project nears completion, NJR Steel remains a pivotal player in shaping South Africa's infrastructure, reinforcing our position as a leader in the steel industry and a reliable partner in public-private partnerships.
